President and CEO, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council believes diversity promotes innovation, opens doors and creates partnerships that fuel the economy. That’s why we provide the most relied upon certification standard for women-owned businesses and the tools to help them succeed.
About WBENC certification
WBENC certification validates that a business is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by women or a woman. We work with 14 regional partner organizations across the U.S. to administer our world-class certification standard, which is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations, in addition to many states, cities and government entities.
We view certification as a true catalyst for business growth and a key stepping stone for women building successful businesses. Certification opens doors to new business opportunities and provides access to hundreds of potential corporate and government clients, as well as a network of thousands of fellow female entrepreneurs.
Focused on development and opportunities
WBENC is laser-focused on helping women business owners succeed and developing the next generation of business leaders. We provide executive education and development programs to help equip certified women-owned businesses with tools and resources to help them expand and grow.
The education continues at our two signature events each year — Summit & Salute in March, and the National Conference & Business Fair in June — where we offer hands-on interactive educational programming, inspiring keynotes, and both formal and informal opportunities for women-owned businesses to meet one-on-one with corporate and government buyers.
Join the network
With more than 15,000 certified women-owned businesses, and 320 corporate and government members dedicated to supplier diversity and inclusion, the WBENC network is a strong and thriving ecosystem of opportunity and support, united behind the common goal to advance women-owned businesses.
